Dunked in the river

The tramp

Is sulking because he got thrown in the river. Lesson, when your the intrepid Furryfing hunter and they're running through the trees and your on the ground keep one eye on where your going or you could end up in a smelly bog.

It did really pong and there was no way you were  getting in the car smelling like that so in the river you went.

Now we know that the intrepid hunter hates water and is not a very good swimmer so perhaps to avoid another dunking you best look where your going.

The intrepid Tramp and the tic

It wasn't a huge great big one, it wasn't even a middling size one, it was a little tiny titchy tic.

But had you heard the squealing, yelping, winging noises emitting from the *intrepid one* you would have thought we were sawing his leg off.

The great hunter of all small Furryfings left trembling by a tiny tic and now seeking comfort from the boss, who has promised not to tell anyone what a woos he is.

Tramp gets goosed

Took Tramp for his walk yesterday just before dark, flushed a pheasant out and chased it across the field thought it was great fun so then tried it with some geese who promptly turned on him. Came racing back with his tail between his legs and a surprised look on his face.

Tramp the intrepid hunter

From the tramp
Iz in big big trouble, Iz chasin a cat (as yer do) when it ran through this open door into dis house Iz being Tramp the intrepid hunter chased it inside, big big mistake dis lady starts to scream and shout so Iz abandon d hunt and leg it fast out of there and hide behind d Bosses legs before he can walk of an pretend Iz not his.
From the Boss
7am on a Sunday and grovelling to a very hysterical and irate woman who's just had her kitchen invaded by a lunatic lurcher who is now standing looking into space as if butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. Managed to assure her it will never happen again and drag him off down the road wishing I could give him a swift toe in the nuts except he's had them off.

Tramps Summer Residence

I's with the Boss (so he thinks they can be delusional these humans) at what I suppose you would call our summer residence except its far from summery in fact it's bloomin freezin outside although it is nice and warm inside. We's got a nice big stove and I's like to stretch out in front of.
Lots to do outside, lots of rabbits to chase but lots of brambles for then to hide in, don't like bramble either, first time I's chased a rabbit I's got all tangled up in it and squealed until the boss rescued me, said I's a woos.
Also learned its not a good idea to chase the bird onto the mud at low tide, they can run across it but I's sink in and have to be hosed down before being allowed back onto the barge which is not nice.
Went for a long walk today along the canal and around the big lake, could feel a difference in the boss he was sad at times but talked to me lots and showed me some fun places to play when the weather gets warmer. Think I'm gonna like it here once I learn more about it but I'sa smart dog even if I'sa bit of a wimp.

I is wounded

I is wounded, not sure how I did it could have been racing around or when I chased a cat up behind the shed, anyways i's grazed me paw real bad. The boss has put a dressing on it but I keep pulling it off to lick it (its what we dogs do) do boss says its off to the vets tomorrow. Boss says he's gonna book me in for the snip, not sure what that is so will be keeping a wary eye out for any strange implements.
I's back from the vets with some antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicine and I's got to where the *cone of shame* for at least a week but at least the snip has been postponed

Well it was my bed.

Jumped onto me bed last night and the next thing I knew this thing, all hair and teeth, was attacking me, frightened the life out of me. Must remember to check that the little one hasn't buried herself under *my blanket* in future. The boss thought it was hilarious so waited until he was in bed and did a rip snorting fart and filled the bedroom in a fugg, had to spend the night on the landing.

10 days and finally off the lead

It's great to be off the lead and running, after all that's what lurchers are builds for, also great that the Boss (you have to let them dream a little) has the confidence to let me off. Got himself one of those ball throwing things, says its so he can throw the ball further but really it's cos the old duffer can't keep bending down to pick it up.
Been banned from the bedrooms during the day, they now keep the doors shut, can't see what all the fuss was about *whats a bit of mud between friends* well ok it was more than a bit and I was soaking wet. Now they make sure I'm dry before they let me in the house, it's all part of their training. The boss has also got me a fancy blue coat to keep me dry and warm. Think I going to like living with this one.

Feeling a bit down

Feeling a bit down today. Although the new family are nice and good to me, the Boss already lets me sleep on his bed with him, I'm missing the old family after all It was the first five years of my life.
Still not being let off the lead to run, the new boss still doesn't trust me, forgets I've got to learn all his instructions, not his fault we don't came with a set list of instructions. Just going to wait until he's happy to let me off. But could really do with a good race about still hopefully it won't be to long. Got a nip on the nose today by some bitch spaniel won't be giving her the usual greeting in future.
Boss calling so must be walkies time.

The New Home part 2

Settling in nicely, the new humans seem ok and I'm sure after a little more training will be even better. Get taken for a long walk in the morning but not allowed off the lead yet, more than a bit frustrating, but just have to build up his confidence that I won't leg it. See lots of other hounds and looking for the day I'll be able to play with them. Foods good and varied (fish tonight) and lots of treats (sausages) if I'm good when were out.
Found it easy to creep up onto his bed once he's asleep, don't think it will be to long before he lets me up all the time.
Registered me with a vet today which is a bit worrying as I've still got all me bits shall have to be on me best behaviour or I'll be losing em.
This is me giving it me intelligent look

The New Home

Took charge of the new owner and home today. Lots of new smells and noises grub not bad and lots of treats. If the message I got from the other side of the rainbow bridge and from *the Little One* who I shall be sharing him with is true this human is well trained in the art of doggy treats (sausages).
I've been promised long walks in the woods in the mornings and will be meeting up with a whole new bunch of playmates . got two beds one in the living room and anotherin the bedroom, I see I’ll have to work on sharing his bed but its early days.
Thought I'd give the human a bit of my attention they like to think their in charge
